Cookie Policy
The short version: this site does not set any cookies. The longer version, including what would change if that ever stops being true, is below.

What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. On your next visit the site can read it back. Cookies are how a site remembers you are logged in, or what is in your basket, or which options you picked.
The same rules cover other ways of storing things on your device, such as local storage. Where this policy says "cookies", it means all of that.
What this site uses
At the time of writing, none. We checked the built site rather than assuming:
- No cookies are set by us.
- No local storage or session storage is used.
- No third-party scripts, fonts or embedded content are loaded — so no other company can set anything either.
- Typefaces are loaded from your own device rather than from a font service, so nothing is requested from a third party to render the page.
That is a deliberate choice. It is why you are not being interrupted by a consent banner.
The cookie table
There is nothing to list yet. This table is here so it can be filled in the moment that changes — and it must be, if it does.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| None currently set | — | — | — |
[__stripe_mid / __stripe_sid] | [Only if a Stripe payment form is added to the site. Stripe uses these for fraud prevention.] | [Strictly necessary] | [1 year / 30 minutes — confirm with Stripe] |
[altra_consent] | [Only if the consent banner is switched on. Remembers your choice so you are not asked again.] | [Strictly necessary] | [12 months] |
[nf_ab] | [Only if Netlify split testing is enabled. Keeps you on the same version of the site.] | [Strictly necessary] | [Confirm with Netlify] |
Analytics
We plan to use [Plausible / Fathom — confirm which] to see how many people visit the site and which pages they read.
It is cookieless by design. It sets nothing on your device, does not use a persistent identifier, does not build a profile of you, and cannot follow you to any other website. What we see is a count — page views, where visitors came from, roughly which country, whether they were on a phone or a laptop — and none of it identifies anybody.
Because it stores nothing on your device and processes no personal data, it does not require your consent under the UK’s cookie rules. We have chosen it precisely so that measuring our own website does not cost you your privacy.
Advertising and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, remarketing tags, or any third-party tracker. There is no Meta pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn Insight tag on this site.
The social icons in our footer are ordinary links. They load nothing from Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook, and those companies learn nothing about you unless you click through.
Embedded content
We do not currently embed videos, maps or social posts. If we add any, they will be behind a click-to-load placeholder: nothing is requested from the third party, and no cookie of theirs can be set, until you choose to load it. Once you do, that company’s own privacy policy applies to what happens next.
How to control cookies
Since this site sets none, there is nothing here to switch off. For the web in general, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies will break parts of many websites. It will not break this one.
If we ever add cookies that need your consent, a banner will appear before any of them are set, with Accept and Reject offered equally, and you will be able to change your mind at any time.
More information
Our Privacy Policy covers everything else we do with personal data — what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.
